There are different cults connected to Necromancy around the world,with process of evocation and practices varying from culture to culture. through the practice of Necromancy and other forms of Black Magic we can work with

the spirits of the dead connected to Sitra Ahra. One of the most expressive cults connected to the "left hand path", Black Magic and evocation of the dead is the Quimbanda.

 

Quimbanda is a Necromantic and Witchcraft cult that takes extremely dark, powerful and dangerous elements from African cults, European witchcraft and South American Indigenous traditions, combining them together. It is very difficult to define precisely the origin of the cult, since different histories and concepts are described in different ways by several sources. What we know is that its African roots came from Bantos, from the people of Angola-Congo, who

practiced the cult of Mkisi/Nkisis.

 

Quimbanda has relations with the Ambundus and their mortuary cults, with the Akwá Mbondu (with practices like faith healing and the use of herbs with methods of divination and possession), among other African tribes,

besides being syncretized with the Nagô cult and the cult of the shamans. It can be said then that Quimbanda arose from a strong system of tribal cult of African witchcraft along with the myths of terror from pagan folklore

Existem diferentes cultos ligados a Necromancia espalhados pelo  mundo. Sendo que o processo de evocação e práticas variam de cultura para cultura. Através da prática da Necromancia e outros cultos relacionados a  Magia Negra, podemos trabalhar com os espíritos dos mortos que possuem ligação com a Sitra Ahra. Um dos cultos mais expressivos ligado ao "caminho da mão esquerda", Magia negra e evocação dos mortos é a Quimbanda.

 

A Quimbanda é um culto Necromantico e de feitiçaria, ela é uma síntese entre cultos africanos, bruxaria europeia e elementos indígenas, e reúne elementos extremamente obscuros, poderosos e destrutivos.

É muito difícil definir com precisão a origem do culto, diferentes histórias e conceitos são descritos de diferentes formas em várias literaturas. O que sabemos é que suas raízes africanas vêm dos Bantos, dos povos de Angola-Congo que praticavam o culto aos Mkisi/ Nkisis.

 

A Quimbanda possui relações com os Ambundus e seus cultos Mortuórios, com os Akwá Mbondu, (e a prática que este povo tinha de curandeirismo e uso de ervas com métodos de adivinhação e possessão), dentre outras tribos africanas, além do sincretismo com o culto Nagô e também com os cultos dos pajés.

Pode-se dizer então que a Quimbanda surgiu de um forte sistema de culto tribal de feitiçaria africana juntamente com os mitos de terror do folclore pagão (europeu e ameríndio), além, claro, da forte negação ao cristianismo.
